It melts at over 1,300 °C, vitrifying into \u003cem\u003eshizen-yu\u003c\/em\u003e, a natural glaze written by chance and heat. But this cup carries a second life beyond the kiln: each time sake fills it, the liquid seeps slowly into the porous clay - deepening its colour, enriching its texture, making it unmistakably and irreversibly yours.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe Piece\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEchizen clay carries a particular \u003cem\u003etsuchimi\u003c\/em\u003e - an earthen flavor, dense and grounded - that potters have prized for centuries. In this\u0026nbsp;\u003cem\u003eguinomi\u003c\/em\u003e, that quality is fully alive: a raw, honest character that invites you to drink slowly, attentively. Over time, sake will infiltrate its texture, softening the surface to a mellow, silky warmth.
