Kenji Omachi
Kenji Omachi is an artist specializing in lacquer art.
He trained under a renowned Japanese artist specializing in this art, and after acquiring a solid mastery of traditional Japanese lacquer techniques and philosophy, he embarked on an independent career.
While continuing to use traditional lacquer techniques, he opened up new perspectives in this art.
This is a technique which involves applying mother-of-pearl inlays onto a resin-molded base using a 3D printer, using artificial gemstones called "Kyoto opals" instead of shells, gold and silver.
